Cast Iron meatballs with french green beans

SFV is in the kitchen and is back at it with another delicious meal. 🔥


Ingredients:

-1lb of ground veal, ground bison, ground venison, ground beef

-1 teaspoon crushed red pepper

-1 teaspoon black pepper

-1 teaspoon of salt

-1 tablespoon onion powder

-1tablespoon garlic powder

-1 tablespoon Italian blend

-1 egg

-Extra virgin olive oil

-1 bag of French green beans

-1 jar of Rao’s roasted garlic tomato sauce

-Handful of cherry tomatoes

-Fresh basil


Directions:

-In a bowl, mix together the ground meat (veal, bison, venison, beef) with crushed red pepper, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, Italian blend, and 1 egg. Combine the ingredients thoroughly.

-Place a cast iron skillet on your stovetop and heat it over high heat. Add a small amount of olive oil to the skillet.

-Roll the meat mixture into meatballs and set them aside.

-Sauté the French green beans in the cast iron skillet for a few minutes until they start to become tender.

-Cook meatballs for about 3-4 min on each side until golden brown. Flipping them every 3 minutes to ensure even cooking. Sprinkle some salt over the skillet.

-Once the meatballs are partially cooked, pour the tomato sauce over the skillet.

-Cover the skillet with a lid and let the meatballs, green beans, and sauce simmer for an additional 10 minutes to allow the flavors to melt together.

-This recipe makes approximately 10 meatballs.
