chocolate berry bake


CHOCOLATE BERRY BAKE

 Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/4 cup peanut butter

  • 3 tbsp agave or real maple syrup

  • 2 cups almond milk

  • 1 cup oats

  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • 1/2 cup PROTEA

  • 1 cup mixed berries (such as strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries)


Method:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).

  • In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until they are smooth.

  • Add the eggs, peanut butter, agave or real maple syrup, and almond milk to the mashed bananas. Mix well until all the wet ingredients are combined and the mixture is smooth.

  • In a separate bowl, combine the oats, cocoa powder, and baking powder. Mix them until well combined.

  • Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients in the large mixing bowl. Stir until everything is well combined, and you have a smooth batter.

  • Add PROTEA, and fold it into the batter at this point.

  • Gently fold the mixed berries into the batter. Ensure they are evenly distributed.

  • Line a 9x9-inch baking dish with parchment paper, ensuring that the paper hangs over the edges for easy removal.

  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

  • Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The baking time may vary slightly, so keep an eye on it in the last few minutes.

  • Once baked, remove the Chocolate Berry Bake from the oven and let it cool slightly.
